Home: Welcome

Jorden Amir is a New York City based multi-instrumentalist, accompanist, and orchestrator/arranger, who has worked closely with some of Broadway's most renowned performing artists.

He is the creator, producer, and music director, of the Broadway Concert Series 20 & Under Sing 20 & Over (singers under the age of 20 join with Broadway performers to sing duets from musicals written 20 years ago and back) and What If? (musical theater characters switch songs for a night). These series have stemmed from Jorden's interest to ensure that the impact and appreciation of Broadway remains widespread, especially within the younger generation.

Jorden has worked as a music director, music assistant, pit orchestra musician, and more, for numerous musicals, a Netflix feature film, and countless concerts (including Mazzoni Center Honors Stephen Schwartz, featuring Lizzy McAlpine, Alex Newell, Lorna Courtney, and more!)

He loves to collaborate with creatives of all ages, and is always open to connect with those looking to work with anyone as passionate about theater and film music as he is. (Especialy the creative team of the upcoming La La Land stage musical... if you're reading this, he's available...)

"Jorden is as kind as he is gifted. Rather than sit back as the pandemic raged on, he took it upon himself to produce a concert uniting up and coming musical theater students with established Broadway talent. Reaching out to Broadway performers he’d never even met, he single handedly created, cast, arranged, and orchestrated the entire rehearsal process and eventual streaming of the concert.

Throughout my interactions with Jorden I found him professional, patient, and kind. He even handled my nervous ego with aplomb. He was mature beyond his years. He dealt with all of us with integrity — matching his compassion for the performer to his passion for the music itself.

He displayed great creativity utilizing different production elements to keep the concert visually appealing too. He took what could have just been a straightforward concert of side by side boxes and made it an elevated evening that also included virtual red carpet interviews. He thought of everything.

I believe Jorden will bring all of that creativity and his leadership skills to any of his endeavors."

Paige Davis

It’s so exciting to meet new talent and work with artists so inspired!  He is as talented as he is kind and I am so excited to see where his career takes him!"

From accompanying auditions and rehearsals, to helping out backstage-Jorden was a constant positive presence that we could not have done without! When I thanked him for all of his dedication and hard work, I VOLUNTEERED to write him a recommendation or a review. So, it is here, without hesitation, that I praise this rising star! I sincerely hope to work with him again someday!"
